ICONICS is a global automation software provider and six-time winner of the Microsoft Partner of the Year award, providing advanced web-enabled OPC UA and BACnet certified visualization, analytics, and mobile software solutions for any energy, manufacturing, industrial or building automation application. At Hannover Messe 2019, ICONICS is unveiling its new GENESIS64™ Voice Machine Interface (VMI), which enables users to leverage the convenience of hands-free, natural language interaction to boost productivity and improve operational efficiency.

ICONICS Voice Machine Interface makes it simple and intuitive to issue voice commands for monitoring the status of systems and process, controlling equipment and devices, and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs). The technology recognizes commands in multiple languages, empowering any operations or facility manager, maintenance engineer, or executive around the world to interact with their processes in a whole new light. With just a few words, users can start/stop equipment, change temperatures, adjust setpoints, view work orders, and make sense of massive amounts of data – all without looking away from the task at hand or lifting a finger.

“Digital assistants may be commonplace in homes around the world,” said Russ Agrusa, President and CEO of ICONICS, “but we are only just starting to see them emerge in the workplace. ICONICS’ new VMI technology enables our customers to bring the benefits of those assistants to their plant, facility, office, or even with them on the go to explore their data in new ways they never thought possible.”

The solution integrates with popular voice assistant technologies, including those from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. Through ICONICS’ Workbench, users will be able to create “skills” that work through these vendors’ cloud services and voice interactivity technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) for Alexa, LUIS.AI for Microsoft Skype/Teams/Cortana, and Google Actions for Google Home/Assistant.

Experience a demonstration of this innovative technology by visiting ICONICS in Microsoft’s booth (Hall 7, Stand C40) during Hannover Messe 2019.
